Vincent Hofmann has been working as a researcher at the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society as well as the Leibniz–Institute for Media Research, Hans–Bredow–Institut since June 2021. Among other projects, he is working on the project ‘The Ethics of Digitalisation’ at HIIG.
He studied law at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main (on a scholarship from the Deutschlandstipendium) with a focus on the Internationalisation and Europeanisation of law. His research is focused on Platform Governance and ethical questions of Digitalization and Platformization. His PhD deals with the question, how non–legal knowledge can be used in decisions of the German Federal Constitutional Court with a focus on freedom of broadcasting.
