Dr. Taina Kalliokoski is a postdoc researcher of social ethics at the faculty of theology, University of Helsinki. Currently, she is working on AI ethics at the multidisciplinary ETAIROS project, that aims to improve the ethical implementation of AI in the society. ETAIROS consist of participants from four universities from Helsinki, Jyväskylä, Tampere, Turku and VTT technical research center of Finland and it is funded by the Strategic Research Council of the Academy of Finland. She hosts the podcast series 10 pulmaa tekoälystä, launched in March 2022 by ETAIROS.
In her research, she is interested in what is considered a good life in the age of AI, and how to conceptualize practical and moral intricacies of failing cooperation, placing blame, and sharing responsibilities in human–AI cooperative situations. In her dissertation (2020), she formulated the ethical boundaries and relationships between communality and human good.
