JOHAN HIMBERG
Dr. Johan Himberg, a principal consultant, and a former researcher in machine learning, with over 20 years of experience in the field. Interested in the ethical integrity of front–line professionals and understanding how one becomes a virtuous data scientist.
For years, data scientists and statisticians have been using many of the methods we now call 'AI'. The current AI hype has encouraged us to talk more about the ethical implications of our work, which is now in the core of the digitized future.
Dr. Johan Himberg, Chief Data Scientist at Reaktor, has over 20 years of experience in data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Specializing in advanced customer and process analytics concepts and projects, Johan has helped many major organizations stay on top of their game. Prior to Reaktor, he worked as a technical account manager for Xtract, a pioneering Finnish analytics company, as well as a research engineer for Nokia Research Centre. Johan holds a D. Sc. (Tech.) degree from Helsinki University of Technology (currently Aalto University) where he focused on researching industrial applications of self-organizing maps and independent component analysis.
